PLW1000V2 - how to stop sleep mode?
I have a Ring camera connected to my wifi network using the PLW1000V2. Periodically it seems the camera detects motion but the captured video is black. When I try and connect via a Live View thru my iphone app I cannot connect to the camera to activate it. If I try 3-4 times it finally does connect the live view. It seems my PLW1000V2 (somehow) goes to sleep. Tonight i checked and the firmware needed to be updated from the initial version V1.0.0.8 to version V1.0.0.16, so I did that.
(1) Does my unit even have a sleep mode? I did not find anything on the device setup (via www.mywifiext.net) that mentions sleeping.
(2) I found other posts on the netgear community site recommending to use a Zyxel powerline utility on some of the netgear devices but looked at the Zyxel site and did not see any "utility"... only their firmware. So did not try anything with Zyxel.
Thanks in advance for any info & any suggestions on how to keep my device from sleeping or how to troubleshoot.
