This might be a hardware issue. Can you plug the powerline adapter on a different power outlet and check if it will lit up. By the way, which of the adapter that is has no lights? And what is the model number of your powerline adapter?

I too have this problem with my netgear powerline 500 . had it for one week only . what do i do now the fix  it or do i ger a replacment
