I assume that the two plugs are communicating with one another, with the correct array of LEDs.
Have you set up the wifi on the PLW1000?

What devices and how are you connecting to the PLW1000's Access Point? WPS button? SSID?
By the way, you might find it better to plug the Smart TV into the PLW1000's LAN port, if the TV supports it. That will be more reliable, and probably faster, than using the TV's wifi. That's how I run my system.
