powerline 1200 to n300
I'm sure this has been asked but i can't find this specific combo. My situation is like this; My main house has the router and I am trying to put wifi in an outside building that has metal walls...
You didn't specify the model number of your N300 extender, so specific instructions can't be provided here. Basically, you will want to set up your extender as an Access Point, which will utilize the Powerline connection to link to the router. You can find the instructions in the manual. If you don't have it, it can be downloaded from http://support.netgear.com.
