Powerline 1200

Never used this form befor, but I need some help. Over the holidays my wife bought me 2 netgear powerline 1200.  We wanted to have a better connection on the third floor of our home.  I plugged the one into the wall near our Router/Modem in the basement, the plugged the cat5 cable to both.  Green lights on all three dots, everything looked good.  Plugged the second 1200 in our bedroom and added the cat5 to it and our smart box, all three dreen lights and checked it should up as hired wired.  20 mintues later my son advised me that the internet went down and before that happened it slowed right down.  Everything I have read says that the powerline goes into sleep mode and internet shuts down.  Is there a fix or I am stuck not using this product?

    Welcome to NETGEAR Community! 

     

    Just to verify, you mentioned the "Internet went down", is this just from the powerline adapter or the entire network? What was the color of the Powerline LED when Internet stopped working? Please factory reset the adapters by pressing the reset button and observe the coonection.
