I still have trouble trying to understand what is going on.
You plug one Powerline plug to an ethernet socket on the back of the router, then what happens?
You say "my internet was disconnected". What does that mean? There is a light on the router that changes? The wifi dies? Something else?
What loses the internet connection? And what messages pop up?

When I connect the ethernet cable between the PLP2000 and the back of my AT&T 5268AC router, supplied by my internet provider, AT&T, I lose access to the internet. I also lose the wifi signal to my cell phone and tablet. The message that pops up when i click on my Chrome icon is "No Internet available." When I disconnect that ethernet cable, I can access the internet.
