Powerline adapter not turning on?
Hi
I Have used the Netgear Powerline AV 200 Adapter Kit for a little over a year with no problems. We recently came back from holiday however to find the power out in our study with our wifi router, telephone base and the powerline adapter all off despite the sockets being switched on. We managed to get the power back on again with a flick of the fuse but it appears that one of our powerline adapters will not turn on. This is the main one which is connected directly to the wifi router which was in our study when the power went.
The adapter will now not respond to being plugged into any of our sockets, with none of the lights coming on or any response to resetting it or pressing the security button. It is not or was not plugged into any sort of extension lead but directly into the wall socket and yet will not work.
I have replaced it with a spare adapter and now it appears that all my connections work fine.
Basically it is set to enable me to play online on my xbox console with one adapter connected to the wifi (the one that died) and another which is the multi unit (cant remember the name) which allows up to four connections. This unit is connected to the xbox. We also have another adapter connected to a sonos speaker.
Has the adapter basically died?
Is there anyway to get it to work again?
I have replaced it with the new one working fine, however i had hoped to use the replacement to connect another sonos speaker which i was planning to buy later.
It would be of great use if anyone could advise on whether there is any chance of my adapter working again?
Thanks

- clithesProdigyI would suggest that if you had to reset the fuse something has triggered this, which could have been the unit failing, a power surge or even a lightning strike. The components are fairly sensitive so I would think its fried unfortunately
