Powerline and range extender

At the moment I use a tp-link wifi range extender and connect it to my pc using an ethernet cable. It is terrible, my ping whilst playing games is terrible. I was told a powerline would be better. Wha...

    I still don't understand why the PL1000 is cheaper and why you say amazon doesn't sell XAVB5101, it does in the UK.

     

     

    From the page you point to, Amazon does not sell the XAVB5101 in the UK. The link you gave shows that the item is "Dispatched from and sold by NETWORK LTD."  That is not Amazon.

     

    Anyone can use the Amazon front end to sell things. That is why this device is "Not eligible for Amazon Prime."

     

    Why is the XAVB5101 more expensive? Because there are suckers out there willing to pay over the odds? Other suppliers sell the same plugs in the UK for £26.85 plus shipping. That seems like a  more reasonable price for out-dated stock that sellers want to get rid of.

     

    They may even have supplies of the XAVB5101 at your nearest branch of Currys. Look in the"bargain bin".

     

    Currys prices there are likely to be better than Amazon. At Currys the PL1000 is £24.97, the same as Amazon.
