What do the lights on them look like?

Thanks for your reply and sorry, I see that my message was truncated.
The Powerline were working fine but suddendly they stopped.
When powered on the XAV2001lights up all the 3 leds (Power, Ethernet, Powerline).
But after maybe 10 seconds the Powerline turns off (like it could find any partner on the power network, even if the partner is on the next plug).
On the other side the XAVN2001 (Wireless extender) shows the Wireless and the Power Leds, not the Powerline.
I tried to reset both the devices with no success.
If I can't fix it, I could buy a new one but I'm not sure which is broken, the Cabled Powerline or the Wireless Extender?
Thanks for any help.

Are you saying that you have a wifi access point connected to the "remote" plug? You could try it in the router itself, just to check.
But to be honest I would consider replacing the XAV2001, now six years old. Even if you get them working again, they are two generations behind the current powerline stuff (200 Mbps gave way to 500 Mbps and now to >1000 Mbps). You can even buy a bundle that comes with an access point integrated into the remote plug. New plugs also have 1000 Mbps LAN/Ethernet sockets.
