Powerline device not detected

test within same room

make you run utility behind the XAV1004

I have done all that and still the utility doesn't recognize the device.:confused:

are you sure both are in the same circuit at least to test the device?

Yes even the same outlet.

install on same circuit at two different out let.

I have this kit and detected easily using utilty running behind the XAV1004 with pc directly connected the unit via ethernet cable

I tried what what you asked me to, and still nothing. I guess it doesn't matter since it still works.:(

I'm having the same issue, it use to work before then I reformated my harddrive and when I reinstalled my sytem along with powerline software i get powerline not detected. Even though everything works fine. Still bugs me that it will not see my three powerlines on my network. :(

Mine did this straight out of the box today. I've tried various outlets, even put each into the same outlet. All lights on 'transmitter' box are on, net connection light blinks occasionally, power leds are on in the receiver box, but no net connection there.

Tried utility but Powerline device not detected. Changed ethernet cables, more outlets. This thing just doesn't work.

Taking it back and waiting for the technology to get a little better.

You have to run the NETGEAR Powerline Utility in Windows XP SP2 compatibility mode as described in ftp://downloads.netgear.com/files/Powerline_Utility_Win7.pdf

This worked for me after hours of waisting time....:mad:

I have the same problem and alredy tried running it as windows XP SP2, it didnt help.

Anyone have other ideas?
