Powerline PL1200 will not transmit ethernet after power surge
Hello,
My house recently had a power surge from a nearby lighting strike, and now my powerline adapters will not transmit ethernet. The switch it is connected to, a Netgear Orbi, works just fine as a switch and a wifi adapter. Its stats say that it is outputting a connection to the powerline, but the powerline is not sending that connection elsewhere.
For reference's sake, the powerline on the other end of the house is powered, detected by the main unit since the bottom most light is on, and it is connected to a powered on switch, which has two devices requesting ethernet. I have switched the two powerlines, just to test it out. It has not worked at all. Both of them have been factory reset as well.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Lightning does a great job of wrecking electronics. Especially powerline equipment and routers.
You've tried resetting them. Excellent.
Tried moving them to the same room/circuit.
have you tried accessing them using the netgear genie?
another option is search for support of Zyxel PLA5405 adapters on their own (zyxel) website. This utility has worked on the pl1200 before.I haven't seen a utility directly from Netgear but the zyxel one has been known to connect. Might give you a means of accessing the powerline device
- JustaWaveformAspirantI have not tried the Genie, but I'll keep that in mind when I get off work. I'll keep you posted if they cooperate or not.
