Powerline WiFi 1000 - cell phone won't find IP address
I connected the PL1000v2 to my Netgear AC1600 (Model C6250) router/modem with an ethernet cable. The remote PLW1000v2 adapter is plugged into a wall outlet roughly in the middle of my house. Both units have solid green lights for power, Ethernet, and Pick a Plug. The adapter has blue on for WiFi. Both of my cell phones find the newly listed WiFi; however, neither of them get past "Obtaining IP address". Is this a problem with the Netgear products,or settings that I need to change on my phones?

Connect to the PLW1000v2 web interface and see if everything looks OK. Check to verify that it is using the AC1600 as the DHCP server (that assigns IP addresses). Most of the time, the main router (AC1600 in your case) does that.
The instructions for looking at the PLW1000 settings is on pg 20-21 of

I don't use the PLW product, so I cannot help much. But the interface should be similar to other Netgear routers, like your AC1600.
