Using the Powerline Utility, I did some tests and got the following results.
Test #1 - Same Room
If the two powerline adapters are in the same room, I get the following readings:
TX 182 Mbps
RX 180 Mbps
Test #2 - Same Floor
If the two powerline adapters are on the same floor but in different rooms, I get the following readings:
TX 72 Mbps
RX 87 Mbps
Test #3 - Different Floors
If the two powerline adapters are on different floors, I get the following readings:
TX 29 Mbps
RX 57 Mbps
Unfortunately, my current configuration consists of Test #3 where my router / NAS are in the basement and my digital streamer is on the 1st floor (one floor above).
So what could be causing this?
