Using Powerline 1200 and virgin media broadband. Keep getting speed reductions
Get good speed of 100+ mbps, but it does drop to less than 50 a lot of the time. If I switch of the powerline 1200 connected to the router, and switch it back on again, I instantly go back up to 100+...

Hi James
Have tried what you suggested, with both powerlines in the same room. The same thig happens - start with a speed of 100mbs, and suddenly it will drop tp below 50. Reboot the powerline adapter plugged into the router and we go up to the 100 speed again.

Hi RobinWorlidge,
If the device is just newly purchased, try to replace it from store or contact support team.

They are about 6 months old. How do I contact the support team, as it would appear I only had 90 days support, and never registered them?

Register now and use the RMA process.
If you are in the UK, then Netgear's pathetic support conditions do not apply. You should expect at least a year's life out of these devices.
But I would also investigate what is happening at the router/modem end. May something there is throttling your powerline devices.
Oh, and do you notice any problems at this slower speed? Or are you just being a slave to the speedtester?

Did not really notice any major problems with the speed reduction, so reckon I can live with it. Just seems odd that even when the speed through the powerline drops below 50 mbps, through wifi on my phone it is usually over 80
