When I plug in Powerline to router, I lose the router internet connection
I am so frustrated. I bought the powerline 1000. I plug in the adapters, run an ethernet cord from the first adapter to my Cisco Lynsys router. Within about 30-60 seconds I lose the internet connecti...
Do you know the model number, and also of your router?
This can help try to pin down any issues between the two
Modem: Cisco DPC3008
Router: Cisco Lynksys EA4500
That is strange to me also!
Just to check between your modem and router eth cable is OK
then how do you connect your PLC?
From PLC to a free slot of the router?
And finally from your router to other devices?
WAN slot is to go to modem!
I did that mistake the moron I was. So even nerds can do stupid things!
i'm starting to discover that some of my other devices might be the culprit. I have an oilder Netgear powerline AV500....when I unplugged that guy, the PL1000 and my router worked.
I also just bought a monster power strip, and I think that guy was messing it up too. I'm trying to sync the devices to see if that can resolve this. I will update shortly.
you can also reset your PLC !
