That is strange to me also!
Just to check between your modem and router eth cable is OK
then how do you connect your PLC?
From PLC to a free slot of the router?
And finally from your router to other devices?
WAN slot is to go to modem!
I did that mistake the moron I was. So even nerds can do stupid things!

i'm starting to discover that some of my other devices might be the culprit. I have an oilder Netgear powerline AV500....when I unplugged that guy, the PL1000 and my router worked.
I also just bought a monster power strip, and I think that guy was messing it up too. I'm trying to sync the devices to see if that can resolve this. I will update shortly.
