Where can I buy an XAVN2001?
I bought the Wireless N Extender kit - it came with the adapter (which plugs in to the router and electrical outlet) and the wireless extender (which plugs into the electric outlet in the room where the wi-fi is weak). Everything works although the signal is weak in other rooms of the house so I'm thinking about buying a second extender to cover that last dead spot.
Here's the issue - apparently you can't buy the extender separately. Netgear doesn't have it nor do any of the online retails they recommend. Any suggestions? Alternatively, I could buy a product from a different company but I have no idea where to go or what to get.
Thanks for your help!

- Jack_AspirantTTBOMK, you can use any of the following powerline AV adapters: XAV2001, XAV2501 or/and XAV1501. They should be available as single devices.
- netgear135AspirantNo -
I'm looking for the extender, not the adapter(s). See the original post. I do not need other adapters. This is to extend the wi-fi signal. - Jack_AspirantI googled the product and found several sellers offering the product as a bundle with the adapter. However, this bundled product is the XAVNB2001. You should be looking and asking for the XAVN2001 which is the wifi access point only.
- netgear135AspirantI have. Nobody has it. That's why I posted. Nothing on eBay, Amazon, etc. Would a D-link product work with it?
- Jack_AspirantContact NETGEAR and ask them where nearest reseller is in your area. Or ask online http://kb.netgear.com/app/ask
- netgear135AspirantAlready did that - they have absolutely no idea. Incredibly frustrating - more importantly, what other manufacturer is worth buying? I'm obviously not going to buy Netgear since they have no idea where to direct their customers. I'm assuming a D-Link device would be compatible since it's all the same powerline system. Any thoughts anyone?

Don't assume, check specs! Note that XAV devices are not compatible with Homeplug 1.0 standard!netgear135 wrote: I'm assuming a D-Link device would be compatible since it's all the same powerline system. - MaximeAspirant

Where are you located?
It's available in Germany, Spain, UK (Amazon), France and elsewhere in Europe.
I guess it's a matter of time before it's available in the rest of the World.
You could search for XAVN2001 on ebay and select the option "ship worldwide"... - phileqAspirantYou can't get one.
Netgear don't sell the single extenders, they just list them on the website.
If you want to buy another extender, you have to buy another kit (XAVNB2001), and just throw away the other bit which comes in the kit.
This is as stupid as it sounds, but Netgear have confirmed it to me.
