Hi, I already run some PL adaptors like XAV2501 and need WLAN in a other room - extender does not work so I like to buy a PL WLAN adaptor. I think the XAVN2001 is not longer available so XWN5001 sho...

They are both HomeplugAV compliant so will work together.  The units will simply just work up to a maximum of their transfer rates.  Netgear have a few wireless adapters (as do other manufacturers).  With the latest firmware i've always found the XWN5001 to be a solid performer
