XAV5421 & XAV5201 powerline devices won't give an IP on electrical outlets in living room only
Hi everyone, I have a XAV5201 cabled into my R7000 router and I have an XAV5421 which will ONLY give an IP adress 169.... in my living room but will work fine giving out my 192.168.0.x addresses in o...
First get the two devices talking to each other in the same room, where they should be on the same electricity circuit.
When you have achieved that, move the "remote" plug to the other room. If that doesn't work, your house may have wonky wiring.
