XAV5601 compatible wifi repeater/extender
Hi,
I have a pair of XAV5601 powerline adapters and they work great.
Just wondering if I could add something similar in another room but with wifi connection instead of ethernet.
The wifi signal in the room is weak as its away from the rotuter..
So I thought I might be able to add a powerline wifi adapter??
Thanks

you sure can add wifi based powerline device. here's one for instance.
https://www.netgear.com/home/products/networking/powerline/XWNB5602.aspx
You can also go to netgears powerline devices and select on powerline wifi option on the left and it narrows it to the powerline devices with wifi.

From what I could find, xav5601 is a homeplug AV device. Homeplug av is compatible with Homeplug AV and AV2. They will operate at the slowest devices speed though. The XWNB5602 is a homeplug AV device as well from its spec sheet.
