XWN5001 sporadicly connection losts
Hi there,
im using a XAV5201 and XWN5001 to extend my WLAN over Powerline to the first floor.
I have sporadicly connection losts in the powerline connection
Example, i use a notebook connected to the XWN500. I notice that the powerline connection from XWN5001 to XAV5201 get lost.
But i did not know the cause.
If i restart the XWN5001 the connection is back again.
this happens let say 3 times a day.
Did anyone know such problems and how to resolve it?
I alredy contacted the german netgear support, they send me a new XWN5001 and a new XAV5201 but this didn't fix the problem.
Im using latest firmware on XWN5001 V0.4.0.7CE

- Powerline can be difficult to diagnose.
I would take both units and put them in the same room and test. If they still lose connection, then something is wrong with the units. If they do not, try moving them further away from them and re-test. Keep doing this until you find where the connection breaks.
Unfortunately, due to the powerline technology, a connection may sometimes just not work that once did.
