Xwn5001

This WiFi device connected beautifully, but it is transmitting on the 2.4G band. I have a dual band router and wonder if I can have the 5001 transmit on 5.0G?

No can do. The plug is "Up to 300 Mbps" with its data rate. That makes it 2.4GHz.
  • Another question, if I take the XAV5201 and use it as the primary in the feed from the router would that improve things over the older (XAV200, I think) currently being used? And if I do that do I need to do the 2 sec. set to sync the new one? Thanks

I would certainly put the faster plug alongside the modem. That should ensure a quicker link between the plugs, which would do no harm to the wifi speed. That is how I set up mine.

Just replace the XAV200 with the XAV5201. If it doesn't work, then go through the pairing process.
