A6150

My WiFi stopped working in my 3 year old Dell laptop.  My ethernet continues to work.  I assumed it was the internal adapter, and purchased an inexpensive but reliable A6150 USB Wireless Adapter to be able to use my laptop in a Wireless environment. (Going camping tomorrow for a week).

Now, neither adapter is finding my network connection, which is working because my cell phone picks up the Wireless network at my house.

Even after uploading current drivers for both Wireless adapters, when I unplug the ethernet cable, the Wireless network is not showing up.  I have run through Windows diagnostics to no solution.  I also disabled the old adapter and tried the new one, but to no avail.

Can anyone suggest the next troubleshooting step prior to me taking it to a computer repair center?

All helpful suggestions are appreciated.

I am running Windows 10.

Thanks,

Danny

First off, the A6150 was never a reliable adapter. There's a ton of posts online about it. Its rare to find us recommend it on here.

    Does it work? Yes.

When you say "both adapters can't find the network" it makes me suspicious of the device you're using and not the adapters.

What happened to cause the change?

did you get a new router?

    Did you change wifi channels?

    Did something else change?

If you turn on the phones hotspot, can the laptop pick up the signal? (with either adapter)
