That link is unhelpful as it provides Windows 7 screenshots, and as other users have stated when linked this thread, these options arent available in windows 10? Do i have to downgrade to fix this **bleep**ty "ancient USB wifi gubbin" (yes i looked through EVERY SUPPORT POST AND TRIED TO FIX THIS GOD AWFUL PRODUCT) as you call it?
Chances are I will end up switching to TP Links pcie option... I am tired of dealing with NetGear, and this very lacking device. My old 20 dollar TP-Link one worked more consistently than this junk. I thought NetGear was prestigious and I was moving up, however my grandfather wasted his money.
NetGear, offer better support options... and at the very least, send drivers out to fix your old "gubbin"

As an experienced Windows user you should be able to find the equivalent settings for power management on USB devices.

Apologies if this doesn't fit into your version of Windows. I'm on Windows 11.
My adapter is a different brand, but the approach is the same.
The thread constantly linked is the one you referenced. Thats what I meant by that.
As an experienced Windows user, you should know that when legacy features are swapped for these new ones, they don't always function the exact same, although providing a similar service.
I find it comical you tried to pull the "As an experienced Windows user" card... You act like I didnt specify that I have tried all the power settings fixes, driver reinstalls galore, changing usb ports, making sure its on 3.0 not auto, stopping the NetgearUSBSw service and preventing it from starting, restarting my pc again, changing the USB port settings in device manager, changing them back, unplugging the "gubbin" and waving it around like a maniac to maybe cool down the internal components (cause what else could be wrong?).
I have ordered a TP-Link PCIE option, which by reviews looks much more reliable, and I doubt the customer service will try to get me to buy a monthly service for a singular month just to tell me the product is old and faulty.

I needed something for beta testing a router with WiFi 6E. I opted for a WavLink WiFi 6 AX3000 PCI-E Adapter. It also does Bluetooth.
