Hi,
I'm not 100% on your statement.
"Sure bet of updating to new driver is after all traces of older driver is removed(deleted) using control panel 'programs & features'"
I fully removed all traces of .35 shortly after they released it (via control panel I believe but it was a long time ago).
I have been using Windows own driver up until I installed creators update where I tried v.36
- I am now accessing the internet using Windows 10 built in driver

If you're connected to a hotspot or domain network, contact the network administrator. Otherwise: 1. Unplug or turn off the device. 2. After all the lights on the device are off, wait at least 10 seconds. 3. Turn the device back on or plug it back into the power outlet. To restart a router or access point that has a built-in battery, press and quickly release the Reset button.

Hi updatedrivers,
Can you remove the NETGEAR folder under program files. Check the programs as well make sure to uninstall any NETGEAR app.
- mrsqueezyApr 26, 2017Aspirant
Hi James,
I've looked for the NETGEAR folder its only got my NAS software in so I don't really want to remove that.
No Applications - Only after installing the Standalone drivers does a Netgear genie listing appear in programs
I continued DC/ lose the internet whilst using the standalone drivers - therefore I have switched back to the MediaTek, Inc. Windows 10 drivers
