Hey everyone, Long time reader first time poster. I recently moved in to a new house 1200Sqft. I would prefer to be wired in but there's only one cable outlet in the home in the living room...

I've been running an 85ft CAT8 cable for the past week and decided to purchase the Nighthawk A9000 USB WIFI 7 Adapter.
Do you have other 6 Ghz devices that do connect?
What PC are you using (and what OS version)?
How far away is the PC from the BE550?
What other peripherals (if any) are also connected to the PC?

OS = Windows 11 25H2
PC = Custom built Intel 13900K Asus Maximus Z790 Hero
Distance = 12ft through a wall, also tried right next to the PC.
Other Peripherals = Keyboard, Mouse, MIC through an external USB Hub from Vantec ( 10 port Powered )
I've tried the A9000 in multiple USB ports including the hub,- StephenBApr 04, 2026Guru - Experienced User

Unshielded USB and HDMI cables (and some peripherals) can generate wifi interference. If you can power down the Vantec as a test (still connecting the mouse and keyboard to the PC), then maybe worth a try.
Does the Hero PC have WiFi 6e installed? If it does, then can it connect to the BE550 6 ghz network?
Are you manually entering the network name, or is the adapter detecting the network?
