AC600 wireless adaptor

The wifi on my work laptop suddenly became disabled. There was no way to enable wifi without admin privileges but the laptop would not recognize admin login credentials. So I thought I could use a wireless adaptor to connect to my netgear router (with no WPS button). But the wireless adaptor requires SOFTWARE TO BE DOWNLOADED. How? The laptop has no wifi connection.

    If your work computer won't even let you re-enable wifi without admin privileges, it's doubtful it'll let you install software to the device. Maybe just call the IT department of where you work to have them re-enable wifi.
