I have a WN3000RP wireless extender that was previously connected to my SKY breadband, we have just moved onto a BT SMART HUB and whilst the extender connects to the wireless signal I can not connec...

They aren't the same.
Have you reset the wifi extender and set it up from scratch? You need to get it to forget that it was ever connected to the SKY box.
