Connects to router but no internet on PC startup
Hoping someone can help here - most days when I start up the PC, the wifi adapter connects to the router immediately, but there is no internet connection. It requires me to manually run the Netgear ...
To help anyone else who is having the same issue:
1. uninstall the Genie software, reboot
2. at this stage Windows will say that the wifi router setup is not complete and that you should connect to the internet - this is not very helpful since the whole reason for having a usb wifi is to connect to the internet
3. open the netgear CD and navigate to bin/driveronly
4. run the set up file
5. when it goes online to check for new software and then suggests that new software has been found, click cancel otherwise the genie software will install and you're back to where you were
6. happy days
