The system requirement for the adapter is for Windows based OS only.

I looked it up and indeed, this one isn't competible for OS software. Can you reccomend one from Netgear that could work on both platforms?

As of now there is no NETGEAR USB adapters that will work with MAC OS. Try checking our NETGEAR Dual Band Wireless Internet Adapter (WNCE3001, WNCE4004).
