Moved a desktop computer, Windows 11 Pro, to a room without wired ethernet. Desktop about 5 years old. Purchased a Wi-Fi Adapter, Nighthawk, to get internet. Installation was easy. Using an internet speed program I get 25Mbps download with the adapter. My laptop in the same spot gets over 150Mbps. The USB adapter is plugged into a v3.0 port (blue). What could be the problem? USB v3.0 are supposed to be much faster. Thanks!Solved1.1KViews0likes3CommentsA7000 Windows Drivers, not the installer
Hey there, Trying to install Windows 11, but it needs a network connection to go. I am nightmarishly aware that the driver page here exists, but that is an installer package that assumes Windows is already installed and running. Extracting the contents of the installer using 7zip does not help; the driver files are encoded into the installer file. I need the actual raw driver files that Windows can recognize so I can get this install going. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.1.4KViews0likes1CommentConnection Issues with Wifi USB Adapter Model A7000
Hi, I have two "WiFi USB 3.0 AC1900 (A7000)" which I have been using for a long time on two different PCs with Win11. Before "Win11" latest update, my Wi-Fi speed was about 650mbs in download, and 310mbs in upload. Besides, "Netger Genie" was working correctly detecting automatically my Wi-Fi. After Win11 update of 11/22/2024, the two WiFi Adapters USB 3.0 AC1900 (A7000) stopped working properly, and Netger Genie started showing a red flag in the notification area (i.e. it couldn't manage any more the adapter, on both computers). I have tried everything possible, even reinstalling the OS and Netgear Genie, but up to now with my adapters I only reach a maximum of 330mbs in download. Is there something more specific I can try? Is there any chance to download a Win11 driver specific for WiFi USB 3.0 AC1900 (A7000)? Many thanks in advance for your help. PLEASE STOP IGNORING THIS NETGEAR!
Regarding A6210 - AC1200 High Gain WiFi USB Adapter — 802.11ac Dual Band USB 3.0 Windows 11. A6210 Software Version 1.0.0.39 I have been sent here by support to post this because they refuse to do anything, even though i see there is MANY post regarding this issue already and NetGear hasn't done anything about it. Yet as the support representative says that managers always read this and take action. i have seen no action taken with all the post regarding same situation. The last release which Crashes completely is from 2018 and nothing has been done about it. There is even an open known issue with the latest release that NetGear even admits to... still nothing! No Windows 11 support still. No help still. AC1200 USB 3.0 WiFi Adapter (A6210)Solved10KViews0likes14CommentsWG111V3 Wireless-G Won't Work With Windows 10
I can't get the USB adapter to work with Windows 10 so I ran an Ethernet cable to go online and tried to update the driver for the USB adapter. The driver version says " 62.1181.1118 2009 " and Windows tells me this is the best driver software for the device. The Netgear WG111v3 Smart Wizard program (installed from the CD that came with the adapter) will not open. I went to this page: http://downloadcenter.netgear.com/en/product/WG111v3#searchResults and downloaded Version 1.5.0. I unzipped it and ran the Installshield Wizard program. The window says, "The existing NETGEAR WG111v3 software will be removed..." Click next and "Critical Error" "Start menu and cortana aren't working. We'll try to fix it the next timeyou sign in." "Sign out now". I did that 3 times and nothing changes. Can anyone please help me get this WiFi adapter working with Windows 10?51KViews0likes7CommentsNighthawk A7000 software or standalone driver?

Can someone explain how they differ and which one might be better to choose please? Thanks!20KViews0likes4CommentsNetgear WNDA3100V3 in Windows 11
The Netgear official drivers do not work in Windows 11. They will not even install. They state that they are for Windows 10 anyways. If you are trying to get your WNDA3100V3 to work in Windows 11, you can install the chipset driver that is built into Windows 11 to make it work. Plug the adapter into any USB port Log in as an administrator Right click on the Start button and select Device Manager. Double click on WNDA3100v3 under Other Devices Click on the Driver Tab Click Update Driver Click Browse my computer for drivers Click Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer Select Network adapters and click Next Select MediaTek, Inc. Select 802.11n USB Wireless LAN Card and click Next Click Yes on the Update Driver Warning After that, it should work in Windows 11 #wnda3100v37.8KViews1like0Comments
