Netgear A6100 wifi adapter maybe not working

So I’ve been using my computer for about 5 years now, and I have had no problems so far. Recently, I wiped it because I had little to no space left and overall wanted to try and fix some problems. (May have been a bad decision, but hey I got this computer until I go to college so I’m trying to make it work). Said problems were fixed once wiping.

However, today and yesterday I’ve had problems connecting to my internet. Websites and applications such as discord work 100% fine, but whenever I try to run a game I can’t connect. I tried to reconnect, I tried restarting my computer and router, and then tried disabling the automatically detecting settings in my LAN settings (which helped a bit). All of these, overall, did not solve my problem.

This leads me to believe theres either something wrong with my computer, or the adapter is not working as it should. Does anyone have an idea as to how I could fix this?

Are you asking for help with the A6100 wifi adapter listed in your subject?

While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.

You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

A USB adapter isn't likely to let you get to some websites while blocking you from others.

It is more likely to be something that your changes have caused in your operating system. If it is a Windows PC try running the network troubleshooter.
