Netgear A6200 Windows 10 - 5 GHZ problems
I have problems with my adapter finding the 5 GHZ signal from my AT&T router. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. I have tried going into Device Manager, Netgear A6200 Properties, Advanced........

Hi luisgo98,
Try to uninstall the adapter. Reinstall it using the standalone driver.

Hi James,
I first uninstalled Netgear Genie from my computer (maybe I shouldn't have?)
Then I downloaded the new driver using the link you provided and installed the one that said "standalone".
Now I don't know how to activate or access my network using the A6200, since I no longer have the Genie to activate it.
The A6200 just has a blinking blue light but no access to 5GHZ.
What did I do wrong and how can I correct it?
I am not very computer savvy so please provide detailed instructions.
Thanks for all your help.

I also downloaded the Netgear Genie Version 2.4.38.
Still no access to the 5GHZ band.

Tired of waiting for updates that don't work anyway.
I think TEN (10) MONTHS was a reasonable time to wait for a fix, RIGHT?
Never AGAIN will I BUY NETGEAR.
I purchased an ASUS USB AC53 nano.
(realtek chipset)
WORKS PERFECTLY, all windows versions, all modes!
$40USD

I've been having this nightmare for the past few days. Finally was able to get a fix. My drivers for the A6210 are the 0.35 Netgear standalone drivers. I have confirmed my 5ghz connection is working on Windows 10 Pro 64bit with no dropping.
I managed to get this working by going to: https://www.slimwareutilities.com/slimdrivers.php and installing SlimDrivers free. After installing and running a scan, it seemed my drivers for Intel(R) 9 Series Chipset Family SMBus Host Controller - 8ACA2 and Intel(R) Management Engine Interface needed to be updated.
Here are a few other details for the NETGEAR driver installed.
