Netgear adapter will not connect to the internet

My Netgear WNDA3100v2 can't connect to the internet. It can reconize internet connections and somewhat connect, but I only get a limited connection error. On my Chrome browser I get the "Computer is Offline" Error and no amount of refreshing or rebooting fixes it. The connection also seems to switch from 'connected' to 'limited' at uneven intervals but I can't use the internet despite regardless of it. I think it might be the adapter itself and not the computer because I can connect to the internet through my laptop's built-in wifi connection. I've done about everything from refreshing the ip to even reinstalling the software. When I troubleshoot I get the 'Windows can't communicate with the device or resource (Primary DNS server)' error. My comperter is a Dell Inspiron 15 with Intel Core i3 and my OS is Windows 8.1. Will I have to replace the adapter now or can I fix this some how?

    Hi BSpathe1290,

    1. To isolate the problem, try installing it on a different computer.

    2. Try to disable the antivirus or firewall when installing.

    3. Use the driver in support site. http://www.netgear.com/support/
