I have the same adapter and the same problems.
The standalone driver has a higher (later) version, but in my case just makes the problem worse.
It is listed as 2.2.06 not 2.2.05 which is kinda weird, as it is a Zip for 2.2.0.5?

Please just to satisfy my curiosity, can you start up a DOS session.
Right click <Start> and choose command prompt (admin).
Then type "netcfg -s n" and under the Network Adapters copy and paste the info here.
It will probably, on a good system be 2 or 3 items/lines.
Should take about 1 minute tops.
Thanks

I am guessing that there is a double entry in there for the WNDA3100v2,
which MAY be part of the problem.
I cleared out everything from my system tyo do with Netgear.
Uninstalled eveything, then cleaned the Registry (CCleaner), double checked that.
I had 2 entries for it, same as you, when there should none.
No idea where they info came from.
What I want to know is HOW TO REMOVE THESE EXTRA ITEMS.
Anybody got any ideas?

I think I might be able to help you on that ...as I would guess that the double entry for WNDA3100v2 is causing some problems.
Try the following: -
Right click Start menu and choose 'Device Manager' and expand the Network adapters.
You MAY have 3 or 4 showing. Then use the view tab to 'view hidden devices'.
That will probably show all 4 above, and some others that are of no concern.
Right click each in turn (of the 2 WNDA3100v2) and one will be the one you use and one won't.
Use the option to delete/remove the one that you are not using and that should help with your problem.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The above did NOT solve my problem as the 2 items I was interested in were NOT listed in 'Device Manager'.
I had tried to completely obliterate every mention of Netgear completely from my machine.
I uninstalled ALL Netgear programs, cleared out the registry, all temporary files, etc.
Then when using DOS prompt with command 'netcfg -s n', for me it returned the following.
Network Adapters
-----------------usb\vid_0846&pid_9011 NETGEAR WNDA3100v2 N600 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapternonpnpnetworkinterface\{bcfebfc0-769a-486b-b75e-e514730f41f4} NETGEAR WNDA3100v2 N600 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter #2nonpnpnetworkinterface\{b9f4eca5-efa9-4922-a65b-6fd492e20b49} NETGEAR WNDA3100v2 N600 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter #2pci\ven_10ec&dev_8168&rev_06 Realtek PCIe GBE Family ControllerThe 2 items starting 'nonpnpnetworkinterface' are definitely not required, and as no Netgear programs are installed, where is that information coming from.I can only suspect that it must be from a file somewhere. My problem is how do I delete the unnecessary entries above?I hope the first bit above will help others with a similar problem, and somebody else can help me with mine:)
