Night Hawk AXE3000 USB Adapter

Hi i just bought the Night Hawk AXE3000 USB Adapter from my local best buy and when plugged in my computer sees it but no light comes on and when I got to install the drivers for it, I click yes to run the installation but nothing happens even when left for 30+ minutes please help

    Please confirm you extracted the executable installation program from the zip file?

     

    You cannot run an executable from inside a zipped folder.

        Are you using the installation program from the thumb drive that came with the device or one you downloaded from the Netgear web site? 

         

        It would not hurt to download a fresh copy from the web site here:  https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/A8000/A8000_Win_V1.0.0.125.zip

         

        When you ran the installation program, did you have the adapter connected to your computer?

         

        The instructions say not to have the adapter connected to your computer when you run the installation program.

    Try another usb with out. The cradle an see if it lights up . It happen to me it has been running real good and yesterday it stop no light so I unplug it from the cradle and inserted in another usb and came on . I then put it back on the cradle and has been working find siince
