Slow Speed A6120 AC1200 Wifi USB Adapter and cannot update software
Trying to figure out why my wireless speed is so slow when using this wireless network adaptor.
I'm running Windows 7 Pro. According to windows, the wireless adapter driver is up to date.
I'm getting speeds ranging from 100mbps down to 1mbps, usually closer to 13mpbs or so.
Meanwhile, my laptop is connected to the same network extender, and in the same room as my desktop. I was observing both systems at once, both connected to the same router extender. My laptop was getting 144mbps, and my desktop (using the A6210 adapter) was getting 13mbps. Something is defintiely wrong with this adapter.
The other problem I'm having is the network genie says there is new software to download, so I say "OK" and it begins to download the new software. It keeps getting up to around 90% downloaded, then jumps back down to 70% and begins to climb again. Gets to 90%, then back to 70%. This goes on and on for ever, like an endless loop.
Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated!
Lastly, I don't recall this wireless adapter ever running that fast. Maybe when I first got it about 6 months ago it worked, but for a long time now it's been very slow. I just haven't had the time to trouble shoot.
Thanks!
