WG311v2
I have an old pentium computer running windows xp home edition version 2002 service pack 3 and a WG311v2 which was running perfectly ok with my netgear adsl firewall router DG 834G
i have changed to fiber broadband and have been supplied with a Huawei HG 633 router.
the pc kept sayingthat the new router didnt have a certificate; that has now been resolved
but i still cant get the pc/netgear WG311v2 to connect to the new Huawei router.
How do i do this; os is the WG311v2 too old to connect wirelessly to the new router.
I have been given a 1 metre ether connection; that is not long enough;
if i were abelt to get a longer etherneyt cable [ i am not sure if i can] would that be a solution?
any help gratefully recieved ;
i am not that computer savvy

Hi bobcolover,
Possibly the wireless security of the Huawei router is not supported by the adapter since the adapter is old. Try changing the security to WEP if the router has an option for that.
