Wifi mini adapter

Hello, I recently purchased the netgear wifi dongle N300. I have installed it all correctly and the wifi is set up on the dongle. When I put the adapter in my TV to connect to the internet my TV says that there is no wifi dongle detected. I just wondered have I bought the wrong sort of adapter to connect my telly to internet?
Note: it is not my telly also tried a different telly and it still did not register.

    Hi Sophie-jane123,


    The adapter only supports Windows based OS computers. You can try WNCE2001, WNCE3001 or WNCE4004 if your TV has ethernet port.
