Windows 10 Anniversary update and BSOD
Hi,
I used this wifi adapter ok with Windows 8.1 but problems started when I upgraed into Win10 and got even worse when I updated to Win 10 Anniversary version few days ago.
My computer make a BSOD every now and then and I have isolated that problem is this wifi adapter and its driver software. If I unplug the wifi then PC runs ok as long as a I want to wait and when I plugin the adapter it makes a bsod within 15 minutes.
I activated the driver verifier on WIndows 10 and it gives instantly this error: DRIVER PAGE FAULT IN FREED SPECIAL POOL (bcmwlhigh664.sys). This doesn't appear if I have the adapter unplugged and appears instantly when I plug it in.
I have latest Netgear driver software installed (as a STANDALONE version as suggested elsewhere).
Is there going to be a new driver software available in the near future where these issues would be fixed?
Or should I just go for another vendor? If yes which is known to work well with Windows 10??
BR, Tim

Unfortunately, I just bought this adapter because Netgear has a "Windows 10 compatable" driver. This is the worst experience I have ever had witha Netgear product. I expound on the reliability and the range of all the adapter and routers. But this time, Netgear, you let me down. I lost about 5 days of work and a couple of grand.
