Wireless PCI Adaptor WG311v3 . The device cannot start (code 10)

I would like your help with the installation of the WG311v3 - G54 Wireless PCI Adapter.
I have windows 10 and the device is not possible to be installed!
I have tried in the past to install the same device in windows 7 and windows 8 with the same unpleasant results!

I have installed the latest drivers version (5.0.0.3).
According to the release notes (please see below) the code 10 error has been fixed in the latest drivers release (5.0.0.3).
However it seems that the issue has not fixed yet.
Any idea?

It might work with Microsoft's "native" drivers. But you can probably forget anything from Netgear.

The WG311v3 dates back to 2007, well before Windows 10. The most recent update for drivers and software was for Windows 7.

Netgear no longer makes PCI adapters.

      Hello,

      Thanks for your time.

The problem is that Wireless PCI Adaptor WG311v3 does not work even with windows 7.

I remember i had the same issue before some years. Exactly the same message.

I have hardware from 2004 and still working with windows 10 properly.

Wireless PCI Adaptor WG311v3 drivers was problematic from the begining.

Anyway, I though that there is a workaround to make this device work.

      Thanks again

Unlikely given the age of this PCI card. But you could search the archive for earlier messages.

I am actually surprised that you have a PC that will accept that card. Many no longer have that slot.

A new card costs very little and is more likely to work in Windows 10.

Either that or a USB wifi adapter.
