Hi JRn900,
1. How far is the WNCE4004 from the router?
2. Make sure that the router does not have MAC filtering. If you are not sure, check with the manufacturer.
3. Reset the adapter and reconfigure.

Adapter is in same location as it was with previous Comcast router. Not sure how to check MAC filtering on router. It appears to connect with the router momentarily but drops at the end of the process.

Hi JRn900,
Check with router's manufacturer and make sure that MAC filtering is not enabled. Try to lower down as well the security of the wireless network and change channel.

Had some trouble figuring out how to get to the XB3 settings, but finally did. There is an option to DENY MAC Filtering for channel 2.4 ghz and I selected that. However, getting same result. Can you elaborate on Changing Channel and also what to do to lower the security level?

Hi JRn900,
Make sure the MAC filtering is disabled. For channel, check the wireless settings, there should be an option to change it from 1-11.
