I found a solution for my problem. I bought a TP-Link WiFi Range Extender TL-WA850RE, and with this one
the connection works fine. So, my logical explanation would be: The cause of the problem is the Arris-TG862-Router
from Brighthouse. But every other wireless device works great with the router, even from the same location. So,
I don´t know. At least I have a functioning system now.

Would it be possible to install it on a different computer and check if it has the same problem.

actually my PC is already the 2nd PC I´ve tried, my son´s PC was the 1st one. And yes, the problem occurs
on both PCs.
