802.11k / 902.11r extender which roams
Hi, we have been trying the Netgear AC1900 EX7000 model extenders, we find the range excellent on them.
The problem we have is we need to put extenders onto an indoor vehicle, however the extenders...

I think the Smart Roaming feature (802.11k) is focused on the client-facing network, not the extender backhaul.
You'll need Netgear's help in determining if the EX7700 or EX8000 behave differently.
I am a bit confused on the use case here though. Why can't the 2.4 ghz devices connect directly to the APs?

HI thanks for the reply, There is interferance on the 2.4 over distance, and the 2.4 will onnly broadcast on 2.4, we have no say in this. Hence why collecting on 2.4 and connecting to the Aps on 5, hardly any interferance on 5. i have contacted Netgear, thanks for reply and help.
