AC 1200 DUAL BAND WIFI RANGE EXTENDER EX6120
I just signed on for Spectrum internet service, and now have TM1602 Arris modem and a Spectrum router connected to it via a yellow ethernet cable. I have one dead zone in the house, so I just bought AC 1200 DUAL BAND WIFI RANGE EXTENDER EX6120. Have tried several times now to set it up. It won't connect using the wps buttons, and wont connect to my mac so I can do an internet set up. Have tried factory reset with no result. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Maybe it's faulty and needs replaced? Thank you for any advice you may be able to give me.

Potentially faulty but when you say it won't connect to the mac, explain more. Are you attempting to hardwire into the adapter to make it work or trying to connect wirelessly. there is the manual install option that works great when hardwired. have you tried this?
Your other option is to reset the adapter as maybe it was a returned/refurbished adapter and has settings already. Hold reset for 7-10 seconds until the lights change.
here's your support site with installation instructions, firmware, and manual with more detailed install instructions.

Thank you for the reply. I have tried resetting as you suggested, watching for the light to change. That did not work for me. I am trying to set it up and connect wirelessly. Also I tried to connect using the online method, but the web page told me it could not find my extender. Perhaps I was not using the web page correctly. I thought I was following the directions line for line, but no luck. Finally, can you give me an explanation for how to connect to the wireless modem using a cable? Maybe that will work. Thank you.

I just mean connect a computer to the extender via the ethernet port for setup. Tends to go a little smoother.
