AC1200 Dual Band WiFi Range Extender

I am posting a solved problem to help others:

On installing this new Dual Band Wifi Extender using WPS the _2GEXT configuration rejected the router password.

The (same) password worked and connected on the _5GEXT configuration.

(In the location I need this extender for I needed the _2GEXT to work.)

Reset and remap via WPS and trying to connect a variety of devices to the _2GEXT.  consistently rejected the router password

After the second reset I tried to install via the NETGEAR_EXT local wifi

As a heads up to other purchasers of this product I could not connect into this using Mozilla Firefox, it needed Michrosoft Edge.

Manual input loaded the  _2EXT password successfully, likewise the _5GEXT.

Problem solved!

    Fairly common to use the installation assistant and not WPS for setup. Sadly, a lot of isp supplied routers don't code wps properly and it causes issues. 

    But glad to hear you got it working!
