AC1200 WiFi Router (R6220) With EX7000 with AC1900 WiFi Mesh Extender (EX7000)
I wondering if anyone can help me. I so frustrated I about ready to throw my netgear router away. I got two usb hard drives that are Western Digital passport drive .
I want to run one with the AC1200 and the other with AC1900 extender. Problem is when I log into the router using a web browser then go to readyshare. I get a message under run windows cannot find the path to readyshare. I can see the hardrive.
So I go into advance settings then go down to usb devices and click approve USB devices. Both my passport drives are approved.
I been on the phone for over four hours with netgear and they cannot help me. The hard drives are found when hooking them directly to computer. I have a lap top with Windows 7 get the same error. I got a computer with Windows XP same issue.
This really surprises me because I can find out threads going back five years with the same issue. I want to put two usb hard drives so I can access them from all my computers . I have four. When I remolded my home I put four Ethernet connectors in every room.
I do not care how it down just want to access the drives in the network.
I have a usb to Ethernet cable and a female usb to female usb. Only issue passport drives do not have their separate plug in to provide power. I getting tired of not getting issues and paid almost two hundred dollars for netgear support and bought this routers to buy the usb drives on.
I already spent too much of my time on this issue. I want to get this fixed so all my computer can access the two passport usb hard robes . Do you have to do the same thing to each computer. I would greatly appreciate if anyone could help me. Thanks
