AC1900 WiFi Extender Issue with Linksys EA9200

In January I purchased EX7000 WiFi extender that was configured as an extender to a Linksys EA9200 router. This worked fine for months, then started to hang up the EX7000 as well as the EA9200. Overtime this became worse and went from days to hours to minutes where this would happen.

I have tried different firmware, but back to the latest, same result. When it is off for a period and fired up again, it will work for 30-60 minutes just fine, then hangs everything up.

The EA9200 on it's own works just fine and even when using an RE6500 WiFi extender it works fine for weeks on end.

Anytime to tired to get the EX7000 going again (several factory resets and all), the same old same old happens.

I just setup the EX7000 as an access point, cabled to the RE6500 that connect via WiFi to the EA9200 router and oddly enough everything works fine. Speed and performance are pretty good as it was origionally.

So is it an issue that the EX7000 and EA9200 will not work togther linked by WiFi? Seems to be working fine as an access point otherwise.

Odd that it worked fine for months and then it started acting up. Any ideas or thoughts?

    Hello TBearNet

Did you try to change the wireless channels on the EX7000?

I have tried different channel setups, which did not change the issue, even different configuration setups on the EA9200, no go.

Since flipping the AC1900 to just an access point, it has been working well that way, just not as an extender.

Not sure what else I can try at this point.
