Access Point configuration issue

Can you connect to the router's wifi from that new room (with your phone or some other wifi client)?
- I can connect to the access point via wifi, but the access point has no connection to the internet
Aehm ... aware a network cable is required to connect the AP to the router? It's an access point, not a extender or repeater.
- Yes, I am... I’m using a pair of Netgear powerline adapters to get back to my router ... but even when I configured it using a cable to the router , I still had the same issue... the power light stayed amber
