Ambient temperature ratings for the NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 Desktop WiFi Range Extender (EX7000-100
I am considering a WiFi extender to be able to add several additional Arlo camers farther from my house. I would install the extender in an UN-conditioned garage and I am concerned as to the higher heat and sometimes below freezing temps and it's not only performance but life spam in general. Will I notice drops in service in extreme temps or will it kill it all together?

According to the manual, these are environmental specifications:
• Operating temperature: 32° to 140°F (0° to 40°C)
• Operating humidity: 90% maximum relative humidity, noncondensing
Personally, I would never set up a sensitive electronic device anywhere near those temperature or humidity extremes. Moisture and extreme temperature swings are also very bad for electronics.
Someone once posted a picture of the aftermath of their extender after it caught fire outdoors in a covered patio. There is little doubt that it shorted out, either from moisture, temperature swings or foreign object (i.e. an insect).
