Hi alaric,
Try disconnecting the D-link, then leave the WNR2000v3 connected.
Are you now able to reach the internet?

Taking out the D_link and using the netgear as the modem does not allow my PC to connect with the internet, I have reinstated the D_link. I can connect my android tablet to the D_link, but not to the netgear router or extender.
Please tell me what I need to do to get them to work.

Hi alaric,
The NETGEAR WNR2000v3 cannot be used as a modem.
Try connecting the D-link to your TalkTalk modem, then connect your WNR2000v3 (set to Access Point) to the D-link router.
